Tier 1 Swiss bank for sale. Client base: private and institutional clients. Headquarter is located in Lugano. Bank serves private banking, asset management, acts as broker of fixed income securities, could provide services regarding trade finance. Bank holds commodity trading entities with financing of commercial transaction (trading of metals). Lending is included in bank’s authorizations. Bank is under individuals supervision and ownership. Equity of shareholders – 70 mln CHF. AuM – 2 bn CHF. Loans of customers – 175 mln CHF. Operating income – 17 mln CHF. FTE – approximately 80. Price – 57.750.000,- Option 2. Tier 2 Swiss bank for sale. Bank has been working since 1980s. Client base is from Switzerland and Middle Eastern. Headquarter is located in Geneva. Bank serves investment advisory services for private clients. Commercial banking includes the provision of documentary credit instruments. Lombard loans (mortgages) are allowed by banking license. Equity of shareholders – 75 mln CHF. AuM – 1 bn CHF. Loans of customers – 100 mln CHF. Operating income – 5 mln CHF. FTE – approximately 30. Price – €52.5 mln. Option 1&2: Capital requirements Both can reduce 10-20 million of equity. Target 2 is more likely to reduce. Target 1 is also quite flexible, and it is possible to reduce it to 20-25 million. But it will depend on the regulator. Often you cannot quickly reduce it from 70 to 25. It should be done gradually, maybe the first time from 70 to 50, and then from 50 to 20-25. Option 1&2: Additional information regarding the licenses Both banks have a full banking license. If some services are not offered yet, you will need to show the regulator that you have a new service under control. If you want to do more investments, you need to show in your business plan that you have every expertise covered for the type of investment you want to do. There is no additional license needed for investments. Both can do stocks, bonds, private equity (less). Target 1 is doing quite a lot in trade finance. Both are not very much into the private equity sector. Option 1&2: SWIFT (IBAN) connection Both are connected to SWIFT and have the possibility to make payments in USD.
